Associate Design Engineer

The Associate Design Engineer position is an engineering position that assumes a general knowledge of the field of engineering with some limited practical application or practical working knowledge of mechanical design or product design. This position has a primary job function involving drafting, CAD modeling, general engineering research, and design detail specification with some limited amounts of independent design. This position will also involve a significant component of general engineering support, which could involve a variety of tasks related to a specific project, project design, general company support, etc. A person holding this title works under immediate supervision where the primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Design Engineer

The Design Engineer position is an engineering position that assumes a working knowledge of the field of engineering with practical application experience pertaining to design engineering and product design. The primary job function of this position involves either design support or independent design development of engineering products, components, assemblies, etc. that meet client fit, form, function, cost, manufacturability, etc. requirements. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Engineer / Project Engineer

Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 7-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May report to an executive, manager, or principal engineer.
